Pune to Hyderabad train tickets: what to do when it is full
Seats on this route run out fast around festivals and school holidays. A waiting-list ticket is not a seat, but there are usually more options than the first screen shows.
Which stations to use
From Pune, trains on this route leave from Pune Junction, Hadapsar, Shivajinagar. At Hyderabad, services arrive at Secunderabad, Hyderabad Deccan (Nampally), Kacheguda, Lingampalli. Always check the boarding and arrival station on your ticket, because the same city has several stations and timings and fares can differ.
How long it takes
Expect roughly 10 to 15 hours, depending on the train and its stops. Exact timings change with each railway timetable, so confirm them on NTES or IRCTC before you travel.
If the train is full
An agent can check the days before and after, other trains, other boarding stations, and connecting journeys through Solapur, Kalaburagi. Overnight buses also run between Pune and Hyderabad, and are a realistic fallback. Message your route and date and the agent will call with what is available.
When it fills up
Demand peaks around the summer holidays (April to June), Christmas and New Year, Sankranti in January, and long weekends. If you already know your dates, ask early.
We do not book tickets and we do not take money for them. A verified local agent does the booking and tells you the full amount before you pay. Nobody can guarantee a seat on a full train.
